We built a ride booking and dispatch app for travelers to Los Angeles, local drivers, and platform operations teams, covering airport transfers, city rides, online payments, driver certification, order grabbing and dispatching, multi-brand management, and order settlement. What users see is a smooth booking experience; behind it is a complete system connecting passengers, drivers, and operations teams.

Multiple brands need one unified base, not fragmented apps
Different brands can target different cities and customer segments, but drivers, vehicles, orders, pricing, and settlement still belong to the same operational system. If each brand is built independently, the platform will soon face duplicate development, fragmented driver resources, and scattered business data.
We therefore adopted a unified backend to support multiple brand frontends: brands can maintain differentiated presentation and operational strategies, but core driver, order, and dispatch resources are always centrally managed.
Compliant drivers, complex fares, and real-time dispatch must stay in sync at all times
LA airport pickup zones, urban areas, and different service areas may have different pricing rules, including airport surcharges, waiting fees, and zone-based pricing. The driver app also needs to complete identity, vehicle, and multi-stage certification reviews.
The real difficulty of this project is not creating a ride-hailing page, but ensuring that an order from quote, payment, dispatch, pickup to completion remains consistent in pricing, driver qualifications, location, and fulfillment status.
Using orders as the backbone to connect passengers, drivers, and operations
We unified booking, payment, driver status, location, and fulfillment milestones into the order lifecycle. After a passenger submits a request, the system dispatches or allows drivers to grab the order based on service area, driver qualifications, and real-time location, while continuously syncing order progress.
For operations management, we integrated driver identity, vehicle profiles, service status, review records, and pricing rules into the same backend, with logs for key actions and order changes, providing a stable foundation for complex regional operations.
For scalability, we allow multiple brands to share driver and dispatch resources, enabling the platform to grow through order commissions, service fees, and brand operations without rebuilding the underlying system.
We solved the problem of growing order volume but increasingly fragmented systems as multi-brand business expands.
Technology is not the goal — exponential business growth is.
